Implementation considerations
- Target population: Primary school students, their educators and parents/carers.
- Program adaptability: The program has been designed to be flexibly implemented in a way that suits schools, so schools can adapt the program to meet their needs. The program is adaptable for diverse cohorts including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, LGBTIQA+ students, asylum seeker and refugee students and students with a disability.
- Staffing: Backfilling may be necessary depending on when staff choose to complete the online and self-paced training.
- Training requirements: Body Bright Staff Training must be completed prior to delivery of lessons. The online staff training is self-paced and takes approximately 4 hours to complete 5 compulsory modules.
- Factors to consider: School staff will require computer and internet access to the online staff training. Where possible, computer and AV equipment in classrooms will support lesson delivery. There is no minimum number of participants required. Registered schools will have ongoing access to the Body Bright team for support and information at no additional cost.
- Australian context: The program has been developed and applied in Australia.
