Cricket Victoria is the state governing body for the sport and delivers high-quality community cricket programs throughout Victoria.
Program description
Cricket Victoria runs the Academy Program under the Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars team brands. Schools can access this program for eligible students (10 years or older) through the EISA Menu.
Over 2 days, students will move through different cricket drills and game-like scenarios.
Sessions are delivered by qualified coaches in fun and supportive sessions. Depending on the location, students may also work former first-class or international players.
Coaches give students feedback and guidance on their technique, decision-making, and how well they understand the game.
Each session includes drills and game-like scenarios. Students will practise:
- batting
- bowling
- fielding
- wicketkeeping
Program staff adjust activities to suit the group. This helps support different skill levels and keeps students engaged throughout the program.
