Program provider: 1000 Generations
1000 Generations is a community-led organisation delivering early intervention and prevention programs for young people across primary and secondary schools.
Their work focuses on building self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and positive decision-making. Their programs are supported through lived-experience mentorship and strong community partnerships.
They provide safe, supportive environments where young people can develop life skills, strengthen connections to education and community, and access positive pathways into their future.
Program description
Empowerment Days are half-day or full-day workshops designed to build positive school culture and strengthen student engagement.
Students take part in interactive sessions with their year level or cohort. Activities include group discussions, team challenges, movement-based activities and reflective exercises.
The program focuses on helping students build a stronger sense of belonging and shared responsibility within their cohort. Students explore values, identity and respectful behaviour while learning how their actions affect others.
Sessions are high-energy and interactive to keep students engaged. Students are encouraged to share their ideas, work together and develop positive expectations for behaviour within their school community.
Empowerment Days help schools reset or strengthen cohort culture by promoting positive peer relationships, respectful dialogue and collective responsibility.
