During some time off after university, I was volunteering in a primary school and I was working with a boy who had some troubles at home, and I could see that what I was doing was having a really big impact on his life and a positive impact on his education. So I was drawn to teaching because I could see the change that I could make by being the person that somebody needed.
A great teacher can change somebody's life. A great teacher can let somebody know that they loved. They can help someone believe that they can do anything they want, and a great teacher can make a world of change.
