Welcome to Module 4

Dr Kim Davies:

Hi, everyone. Welcome to module 4. My name is Kim Davies, and on behalf of my colleague Liz Rouse, we warmly welcome you to this fourth module. We are really happy to have you with us as we explore how we can use play and inquiry learning to respond to the learning interests, strengths and needs of all of the students in our foundation classrooms.

We have planned a range of interconnected activities supported by various sorts of resources that will help you engage with and understand just how play and inquiry can actually reach all of your diverse learners that you have in your foundation room.

We will be looking at some very specific practice issues like planning to make sure that play and inquiry learning is responsive to all learners and assessing the learning that they undertake as part of their participation in play and inquiry.

We are really looking forward to you sharing your own stories and experience of foundation practice, and together we are confident that we will all enjoy and value a collegial experience of differentiated, play-based and inquiry learning.
