Leisure Networks is a not-for-profit organisation with more than 35 years’ experience. They deliver inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities to participate in sport. Leisure Networks works with schools to build confidence and connection through inclusive programs.
Program description
Parallel Sports is an inclusive wheelchair basketball program for Victorian schools. Students can travel to Try Boys Stadium in South Geelong or Parallel Sports can come to your school.
Sessions are active, engaging and built around inclusion, teamwork and leadership.
Sessions are delivered by coaches with lived experience of disability and elite sport.
Students use sports wheelchairs to play basketball, skill games and team challenges. All equipment is provided. No experience is needed.
