Victory Kicks delivered by Melbourne Victory is a one-day football program that develops soft skills and boosts student engagement through fun, values-based sessions led by accredited facilitators.

Melbourne Victory FC is the largest professional club in Australian football (soccer). The club uses the power of football to bring people together and support local communities.

The club works with schools, government and community organisations to create positive experiences where young people can learn new skills, make friends and feel supported.

Program description

Victory Kicks is a 1-day program that focuses on the development of soft skills that support improved student engagement. To be delivered across the wider school and aligned with school values, accredited facilitators deliver fun and engaging football (soccer) sessions that embed pro-social topics to improve student connection, confidence and engagement with their school.

Using the sport as a teaching tool, all activities aim to engage and empower students that have been identified as requiring additional support. The program also incorporating the wider student group to create a level and equitable playing field.

All sessions are delivered on the pitch with an intended football (soccer) and pro-social outcome chosen by the school. Topics schools can select include:
