The Morrisby careers tool now reflects the new VCE options – the VCE Vocational Major and Victorian Pathways Certificate.
Use Morrisby in the classroom to help students explore their interests and career opportunities, understand their new senior secondary options, and make informed choices for senior secondary school and beyond.
By completing a series of questions on the Morrisby website, students build a personalised profile to help them explore how their strengths, interests and skills relate to study options and career opportunities.
Every Year 9 government school student can access Morrisby through the department’s free My Career Insights program.
This pairs Morrisby with a one-on-one career consultation session, supported by the Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE).
In specialist schools, the program is available to all students aged 15 and older.
Return regularly to Morrisby for recommendations
Students can return to Morrisby at any time to retake the quizzes or get up-to-date career and subject recommendations.
This means that students who participated in My Career Insights previously can use Morrisby to explore new options for senior secondary education.
Consider using Morrisby in the classroom during National Careers Week, which this year runs from Monday 15 to Sunday 21 May 2023.
Promote My Career Insights to parents and carers
Parental consent is required for students to access the My Career Insights program. New information fliers will help you explain the program and required actions to parents and carers. You can also invite them to attend their child’s career consultation meeting.
