New Tutor Practice Guide and upcoming professional learning

The department has developed a new practice guide to support tutors to implement the Tutor Learning Initiative (TLI).

We are also inviting new tutors and those seeking a refresher to TLI to an induction webinar on Wednesday 3 May 2023.

Tutor Practice Guide

The 2023 Tutor Practice Guide (pdf - 422kb) is available to support tutors with targeted advice on program design, curriculum planning, pedagogy and assessment.

All tutors are encouraged to access the guide – please refer to the Tutor Learning Initiative on our Policy and Advisory Library Resources page.

Upcoming Professional Learning

Tutors are invited to participate in a free induction webinar in Term 2, 2023. The webinar is designed for new tutors and tutors who wish to refresh their knowledge of TLI.

A series of webinars is also available on Arc as on-demand recordings, to help tutors build or refresh skills in key areas, including literacy and numeracy. Examples include:
