On Friday 24 March 2023, the department is presenting a full-day professional learning opportunity for language teachers currently teaching in Victorian government schools.

We encourage language teachers who have either recently graduated or returned to teaching languages after an absence to apply to join the free in-person event, happening in Carlton.

This program is designed to support quality language programs in schools by:

  • introducing participants to key people, networks and organisations supporting language teachers
  • sharing information about current resources and professional learning available
  • facilitating language-specific workshops and opportunities for networking with other teachers of languages.

The Modern Language Teachers' Association of Victoria (MLTAV) is facilitating this event on behalf of the department.

The MLTAV has designed a course program that will ensure you get the support you need to thrive in your role as a language teacher, while having an opportunity to connect with others in the profession.
