Sexual Health Victoria (SHV) is offering a new professional learning program to help grade 5 and 6 teachers deliver sexuality and relationships education.

The everyBODY education program will help participants to teach students about sexual reproduction, puberty, relationships and consent.

There is high demand for SHV's grade 5 and 6 everyBODY programs, which aim to build students' abilities to seek help about their bodies and growing up.

Participants report that this professional learning program gives teachers more confidence to deliver this valuable sexuality and relationships education program to their students.

What the program offers

The program includes a one-hour live online session with an expert educator, and access to classroom materials for 3 90-minute sessions, including illustrations, activities, discussion prompts and video content.

In the online group session, an expert in sexuality and relationships education will guide participants through lesson planning and using SHV's online resource platform.

The next online session will be held on Tuesday 4 April 2023, at 4 pm. Sessions are also scheduled in May and June.
