School selection for funding

Around 30 schools from across Victoria, including metropolitan and regional schools, have been selected to receive funding.

Schools were selected using a range of information, including levels of student disengagement and school attendance.

Many of these schools will also receive a youth worker in 2026 and 2027 through the Early Intervention Officers in schools initiative.

The EISA Menu will continue to grow

New providers and programs will be added through regular Expression of Interest (EOI) rounds. Schools can also suggest programs that may suit their students or local community. This will help ensure the EISA Menu includes a wide range of programs that meet the needs of schools across Victoria.

Programs have been assessed by the Department of Education

All programs on the EISA Menu have been reviewed by us.

Providers must meet requirements relating to:

  • child safety standards
  • appropriate staffing and experience
  • program suitability for school settings.

This helps schools identify programs that are safe, high quality and appropriate for students.

I am a school in a rural or regional area

Many providers on the EISA Menu can deliver programs in rural and regional areas.

We are working with funded rural and regional schools to make sure the EISA Menu includes suitable programs for their students.

Funded schools in rural and regional areas may also receive extra support for transport and other related costs where needed to access programs.
