A blend of exciting onsite, online and outreach programs - focusing on games technology, virtual reality and simulated experiences, programming and coding, 3D printing, robotics and the physical sciences - enlightens and inspires students about future innovation and careers.
About the centre
Quantum Victoria, a statewide facility embedded within Charles La Trobe P-12 College in Macleod West, offers flexible learning spaces and the ability to accommodate different-sized groups and activities, including Engineering Expos and other state-wide events.
Quantum Victoria is a leader in providing STEM education and has a number of established professional partnerships, including La Trobe University, The University of Melbourne, Questacon, the Centre for All-Sky Astrophysics (CAASTRO), Engineers Australia and the Tall Poppy Campaign.
Programs
Quantum Victoria’s programs range from Prep to Year 12 and encompass the STEM disciplines, with an emphasis on physical sciences and mathematics. They are underpinned by robust, contemporary pedagogy.
Content aligns with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE Study Designs. The programs are differentiated to meet a variety of student abilities and learning profiles and the structure allows students to consider complex and challenging problems from the perspective of different research disciplines.
Outreach
Onsite programs are enhanced by an outreach component that can be undertaken by teachers and students at their school.
